We only made a third of the barrels of a typical year. Even so, we were unsure of how the limited wines we produced would age, and it's been encouraging to see that the wines have softened and the fruit has integrated beautifully - just as a well-made pinot noir does on a "typical" vintage. The 2020 Reserve reflects 8 barrels Jeff personally selected during fermentation, reflecting his preference for dark, rich pinot noir. The bottling is primarily Pommard from our eastern block as well as a modest amount of Dijon 115 clone. An important part of the style and rich texture of the Reserve is derived from approximately 40% new French Oak. Look for blackberry and plum notes with plenty of nutmeg, vanilla, and spice. This wine is rich and structured – designed to cellar. Enjoy now to 2027.
