2022 Lichtenwalter Vineyard Pinot Noir
2022 Lichtenwalter Vineyard
The 2022 growing season in the Willamette Valley delivered a late but exceptional harvest, with a cool spring delaying bud break and bloom. A warm, dry summer followed, leading to steady ripening and excellent fruit concentration. Cooler temperatures in October allowed for extended hang-time, enhancing flavor complexity and tannin development.
The 2022 Lichtenwalter Vineyard Pinot Noir is a vibrant, fruit-forward expression of Ribbon Ridge. This ruby-hued wine bursts with mixed berry notes, brambly, earthy undertones, while currant and black tea lingers on the finish. Sourced just two miles from our estate, this Pinot showcases the Wädenswil clone’s hallmark finesse—elegant structure, bright fruit, and lifted floral aromatics and the structure and spice brought offered by the Dijon 115 clone.
